Once you've confirmed your internet connection can support streaming, the next step is preparing your network. A well-configured network helps deliver a reliable streaming experience, especially during your busiest business hours.

Use Wired Connections When Possible
Whenever possible, connect your streaming devices using an Ethernet connection. Wired connections are typically more stable than WiFi and can help reduce interruptions during live events.
If Ethernet isn't available, make sure your streaming devices are within range of a strong, reliable WiFi signal.
Prioritize Streaming Traffic
If your network supports Quality of Service (QoS), configure it to prioritize EverPass streaming traffic over guest WiFi and other lower-priority traffic. This can help maintain a reliable streaming experience during your busiest business hours.
Allow Required Network Traffic
If your network uses a firewall, proxy server, or other security controls, you may need to allow the required EverPass network traffic. This may include configuring domain and port allow rules to ensure your EverPass Devices can connect to the streaming services they need.
Verify Your Network Equipment
Your router, switches, and other network equipment should support the internet speeds available at your business.
Older or outdated equipment can limit network performance, even if your internet service provides faster speeds.
